"Slow Dancing to Kurt Weill is set to the music of a composer my family listened to a lot while I was growing up," says choreographer Constantine Baecher, "thus his songs hold a special nostalgia for me, a sense of safety and family. But there is a darker side to his work I was only marginally aware of as a child, and that sinister element has crept into the couple in this piece."
