Choreographer's Note: “Too late! Somebody else was here before you!” Many of my favorite pieces of music were choreographed before me. I finally found way around this limit: Love Song Solos is set to songs by Schumann, Schubert, Wagner, and Brahms. But not to the original music - to a reduction for two maracas. The music is made unrecognizable, and the only trace are the characteristic mood swings from flirtatious to euphoric to sorrowful and self-pitying.
