Bach. We all love the clarity, humility, simplicity and dedication that speaks out of his music. Focussing on melodic invention, he climbed to heights rarely reached by other composers. Yet, when we listen to his works, we are touched mostly by his simple soulfulness. Dawn tries to follow his lead: using a small arsenal of movements, it evokes feelings of struggle, lament and rejoicing, echoing emotions found in Bach’s score.
