AN EVENING WITH THE NEW CHAMBER BALLET AND GUESTS
NEW COMPANY TO PRESENT WORLD PREMIERES ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11TH, 2004
11/29/2004 - New York, New York – The New Chamber Ballet will present an evening of new works on Saturday, December 11th, 8pm at City Center’s Studio 5, 130 W 56TH St between 6th and 7th Ave. The program will include three world premieres by Miro Magloire, as well as a guest appearance by choreographer and performer Deborah Lohse. New Ballets – The works presented will include trios, a duet and a solo. The first premiere, Duet Op. 9, is a hypnotic duo set to music by American composer Morton Feldman. Another premiere, Trio Op. 11, features three dancers in a lively ballet to Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet Op 20 No 5. The final premiere by Magloire will be a rousing new work set to Venezuelan waltzes for guitar. In a special guest appearance, choreographer Deborah Lohse will perform her own solo No Excuses.
First Appearance - The performance marks the first appearance of the New Chamber Ballet under its new name.
