
Pianist Melody Fader enjoys a busy career as a chamber musician, vocal accompanist, and freelance artist in New York City. Miss Fader has performed in such New York venues as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Her musical studies have led her to performances internationally in Belgium, England, Spain, Canada, Israel and the Spoleto Festival in Italy. She recently performed with Ian Swensen at the Banff Centre in Canada and has played for Buglisi Dance Theater at "The Egg" in Albany, Kaatsbaan, and the National Museum of Dance. Her next season includes performances with Elektra Ensemble, her newly formed piano trio. Miss Fader has been a prizewinner at the Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition and the Aspen Concerto Competition, leading to solo appearances as well as chamber music performances throughout the U.S. She is also on the piano faculty of the Greenwich House Music School in NYC. Miss Fader earned her Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music, and Master of Music in Collaborative piano at the Juilliard School where she studied with Margo Garrett. This is her fifth season with New Chamber Ballet, where her repertory includes solo and chamber works by Bach, Corelli, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Scriabin, Janacek, Hindemith, Stravinsky, Rachmaninov, Dallapiccola, Cage, Stockhausen, Lang, Sciarrino and Magloire.
